CPF’s Daniel A. Terry Legislative Conference gives local union leaders an opportunity to hear from some of California’s top elected officials and to meet with legislators about the issues directly impacting front-line firefighters and their families.

Tuesday April 25th

8AM  - Legislative Conference Check-In and Continental Breakfast (Sheraton Grand Hotel)

9AM – 12PM  - Legislative Conference (Sheraton Grand Hotel)

12PM – 1PM  - Lunch on your own

1PM – 4PM  - Meet with your Legislators (Capitol Legislative Offices)

5:30PM – 7:30PM  - Legislative Reception (Tequila Museo Mayahuel, 1200 K Street, Sacramento)

***IMPORTANT: SCHEDULE YOUR LEGISLATIVE APPOINTMENT TODAY. Legislators’ calendars fill up quickly! If you wait too long, you make not be able to get an appointment for the afternoon of April 25.

To maximize the impact of your visit, it's recommended that you coordinate with other locals in your Assembly or Senate districts. To view the locals that share your district, click here.

When you call Capitol offices to schedule meetings, ask for the legislator's scheduler and mention that you are calling in conjunction with the CPF's Legislative Conference. If the scheduler is unavailable, leave a message, remembering to get the scheduler's name so that you may follow-up with him or her if you do not receive a call back within two or three days.

In light of upcoming legislative deadlines, this is a busy time at the Capitol; so don't be discouraged if it takes more than one phone call to set an appointment - patience and persistence usually pay off!
